The new Van-Life 3 tire from Semperit has now been delivered to dealers and is available in 22 sizes. The well-known Austrian tire manufacturer is focusing on maximum load-bearing capacities, robustness and speed ratings in order to provide solutions for as many vans as possible.
Summer tires for vans are in great demand throughout Europe. The reason is that consumers preferred mail-order purchases during the pandemic and have continued the habit afterward. As a result, more and more and more packages are now being taken the “last mile”, i.e., right to the customer’s door. More vans are therefore needed, and they need tires. Vans are also widely used in the skilled trades – sometimes to transport material and sometimes to serve as rolling workshops. In both cases the tires must be robust and they must offer high mileage, low rolling resistance and short braking distances. All of these qualities are important for cost efficiency. Semperit has designed its new Van-Life 3 to meet these requirements. These tires have come onto the market in 22 sizes ranging from 14 to 17 inches, and they have been designed for the highest possible load-bearing capacity and the highest possible speed rating for the given dimension. The maximum load-bearing capacity is 1250 kg per tire (LI 116, size 215/75 R 16 C), and the maximum permissible speed is 190 km/g. On the EU tire label, the new Van-Life 3 has a B rating for wet braking, a C rating for rolling resistance and a B for tire/road noise.
The list of vehicles that the new Van-Life 3 fits reads like a Who’s Who of the van world. It includes the Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Fiat Ducato, Iveco Daily, VW T6 and Citroen Jumpy, with hardly any models left out. With this product, Semperit has offered an economical, fuel-saving and safe tire solution for a wide range of transport companies and businesses.
